The thing is, when we knew it was definitely a problem and most likely fractured, our chests constricted a bit. It was nothing like falling from above onto concrete, but for our mommy and daddy hearts it hurt and was a lot to carry. Taking her back to doctors and to get X-rays was hard on us, and as she seemed to struggle too it was even harder! Once again, our village rose to the occasion and upheld us. People called and texted. We had a bunch of facebook comments and people praying all over the world. I mean, our neighbor even rearranged her appointment so we could drive our daughters to the same clinic, same PA for needed casts at the same time together! I'm humbled by the community God has placed around us-even though many are hundreds and thousands of miles away. We are loved and people have our backs. That is amazing!
We also have an amazing God who loves us and gives good gifts and blessings to us, his beloved children! Ty and I were talking about how God loves E and He is with her in all of this. He loves us and is with us too. At the end of the day, we know that He ultimately reigns and we praise him and give thanks for his provision. We praise him for awesome family and friends who love our kids like we do! We praise him for living in a place where even though it's an hour drive, we can go to a specialist to care for our daughter! We praise him for resources to cover doctor's visits! We praise him for the way He has designed our bones to grow and heal! We praise him for another opportunity to let him teach us about faith and not fear! We praise him for the opportunity to teach E this lesson: that God is always with us and we don't have to fear!
Thank you for being an amazing and wonderful community that truly does life with us! We are so blessed by our village! We truly thank God for you! Oh, and we also praise God for waterproof casts that can be bathed in and swam in and only have to be worn 3 weeks!
