Well we are in our own house and our own stuff again. We are mostly unpacked and will have to post a few pics tomorrow-after sleep. We had a nice Thanksgiving with friends from MN at their daughter's in-law's with a bunch of people. Yeah...we couldn't keep the connections all straight either! We invited our friend along who we met in Holland and is here for a bit with OM Arts before heading out long-term as an artist somewhere. She had never experienced Thanksgiving before so that was fun then she stayed with us a night and we had a lovely day after making crafts and drinking coffee and just relaxing. We had true southern deep-fried turkey as well as turducken. For those who don't know it's chicken inside duck inside turkey. It was interesting for sure! We also had other more southern influenced dishes like sweet potato pie and creamed spinach. We hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving with people who you love. We are missing our families and old friends but starting to have a bit of a network here and making friends. The kids too are making some friends (with our neighbors which is awesome) and they are happy to be settled back in their own stuff. Ty will be heading to the Middle East in a few days for his first tour with an arts team. He's playing drums! Check out www.arts-missions-trips-mv.blogspot.com if you want more info or you can always email us. We're looking forward to sharing how the global church is serving in a very different place when he returns. Happy Monday after Thanksgiving everyone-hope the transition from the holiday wasn't too painful back to the real world!
