We were home about 18 hours and then off again...now at camp with some great people. I'll update on that more later...tetherball and paddleboating is calling my name!
Last weekend we had the joyful experience of celebrating Ty's graduation from his Master's program he has been attending at the Institute for Worship Studies. What a sweet weekend with his parents and our dear hostess, Lou (who Ty and I have stayed with previously when at school). We enjoyed several meals with other friends in the area and spent 2 days at the ocean having a BLAST! While it was a jam-packed weekend, it was amazing too. We had wonderful family time and precious time with friends new and old. We can't wait to go back and relax with our growing number of friends in the Jacksonville, FL area. One of the times we were so blessed was a day at the beach and then a BBQ with some of Ty's classmates and their families. This class-Teth Class-has been one of the biggest groups of encouragers, prayer warriors and friends through a lot of transition. It was really cool to be able to be back with them and we really missed those who couldn't make it. Then, the graduation ceremony itself was a celebration! It was a full liturgical Pentecost service. For those outside liturgical traditions, this may sound boring. In fact, Ty's dad wasn't so sure when we first sat down and he saw the order of things and we started the call and response. However, when you get a group of 35+graduates and probably even more professors in a worship studies program, you can't help but worship with them. The sound of them (and the rest of the audience) singing in that beautiful church was enough to make my very heart sing! It was an incredible celebration, not just of Ty's achievement but of what our Saving God has done and is doing for us!
